Get that mulled wine poured and a mince pie

at the ready for this spicy,

cosy, fake dating romance!

You're about to sail to Peace Island for a

wedding you won't forget.

An old thatched seaside cottage,

old copper baths, open fires and cosy

country pubs.

And how can we forget the star of the show.... Barney, the red fox labrador.

Your boyfriend has done the dirty on you and you find yourself at a cross-roads in life. Who else to give you a few confidence lessons but the cheeky emotionally unavailable coast guard.

Just a few ground rules if he's fake dating you. Don't call him tweety-pie, don't expect him to write you love letters, or cook you a meal. And he definitely...definitely, won't fall in love with you.

Home renovator Libby Williams hates her domineering boss so when she is offered a stay on Peace Island to celebrate a Christmas wedding, she jumps at the chance of festive relaxation.

Reacquainting with old friends, she soon discovers their lives on the quaint old island are not as perfect as they first seem. Neither is hers, as the unexpected arrival of her boyfriend brings unwelcome news, dragging her future career into jeopardy and her heart through the mud.

Will Mistletoe Cottage prove to be her sanctuary while she rebuilds her life? Will she discover the identity of ‘Hope’, the mysterious recipient of a box of unread letters? And will the very handsome Theo McCallister, the island lothario, help to restore her bruised confidence?

One thing is for sure, this will be a Christmas Libby will not forget.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a heartwarming tale of friendship, romance, family, loss and hope. It had my laughing and crying in equal measures. Louise Mercer's best one yet, and that's saying something!

If you love cosy seaside cottages, open fires and old copper baths, then dive straight in.

You'll find yourself in a whirl of mulled wine, mince pies, festive cheer and of course... a bit of spicy romance.

Don't forget to read my blog that accompanies this book - Baby makes three, based on my own personal journey to have a baby.... a major inspiration behind this book and one of my best characters yet.
